The holiday season is right around the corner, and the team at Trailhead Dental understands what a busy time the coming weeks can be. Many of our patients prefer to schedule their dental appointments in the first few weeks of the month of December, before the hustle and bustle of the holidays is fully underway.
Our Christmas wish for you is that you remember what this special time of year is really for — spending time together. To help get you and the family into the Christmas spirit, we’ve picked three events in the Denver area we think you’ll enjoy. These are activities that have become holiday traditions for many of our patients and their families, and they might soon be part of yours!
The Polar Express
Fans of the film "The Polar Express" will love this re-creation of that Christmas classic. The Colorado Railroad Museum presents an annual event in which visitors can climb aboard historic rail equipment for train ride unlike any other. The train depot is filled with holiday decorations as well as dancing wait staff who serve chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate. The Polar Express story is performed, and afterward, everyone climbs aboard a steam locomotive for a winter trip to the North Pole. This is a favorite activity for both young and old!
The Denver Zoo presents a holiday event that thousands of families look forward to throughout the year. Zoo Lights 2016 will include 70 acres of holiday decorations, including lighted animal sculptures that move. Many zoo animals are on display and there is nightly entertainment provided. Plus, Santa will stop by for a visit!
Is there anything more quintessential than "The Nutcracker" at Christmastime? This is a story that participants of all ages can enjoy — younger children will delight in the magic of Clara and the Nutcracker’s adventures while older members of the family will enjoy the nostalgia factor. The Colorado Ballet is putting on its 56th annual production of this classic ballet, with shows running throughout the month.
