Trailhead Dental, their staff, and Dr. Leong were awesome. I needed a crown/implant on a front tooth I had knocked out. After two failed bone grafts (with another dental surgeon) and some procrastination, I was worried it would be hard to get a natural look. Dr. Leong was helpful, reassuring, and meticulous throughout. He didn’t settle until the tooth looked right, even replacing the first permanent one to get a better match. After a few months, no one can tell it’s fake. He did a great job easing my dental anxiety. My Teeth were down to almost nothing before I went to trailhead. After a detailed consultation, we decided to fix the issue with crowns, not implants, because my roots were all in good condition. I don’t have any pictures where I show my teeth from at least the last 15 years, but here is one with my new teeth. Now I have to relearn how to smile.

I had a very complicated health situation involving head and neck cancer and the making and fitting of an obturator which is a device that would allow me to eat and speak again post cancer treatment. I was in the office often weekly for a year. The staff was incredibly welcoming and they always worked to get me in when needed. Dr. Leong quite frankly is a genius. There were so many tidbits of knowledge he had from his years at Sloan Kettering and time with other cancer patients that has been invaluable. Beyond his skill I am so grateful for his soothing voice and caring words when he could tell I needed it. He gave me the ability to talk and eat again.

The screw for on my 20 year old implant broke (pictured). Trailhead Dental was able to remove the broken screw from the implant and reattach the abutment/crown with a matching screw they had on-hand all in one visit. I’m grateful they had the needed screw for an outdated implant design in the office and they were able to save the implant. I highly recommend them if you have a loose or broken dental implant.

I learned to dislike dentists during my childhood back in the 1950s when they were filling my cavities with mercury amalgam after using low speed drills run by strings on pulleys. But for the past many years I have been seeing a dentist I like very much. After an abscessed molar had to be pulled, I needed a partial. I work in dental (perio) and when it is time to get work done on my smile, I’ve learned to seek a specialist for the highest level of care. Dr. Leong and his entire team were wonderful from start to finish to replace two crowns for me, repair an old filling and update me on the health of my mouth. I was especially nervous about the crown on my front tooth but Dr. Leong’s gentle demeanor and clear expertise put me at ease right away. He worked with my periodontist to coordinate my crown lengthening procedure and the crown placement so that I had optimal healing and a beautiful result. I received radiation at MD Anderson for head/neck cancer. Years later I had all my teeth extracted and dentures were placed. With dentures I had speech and swallowing difficulty plus ongoing backwash of fluids between dentures and roof of mouth. After multiple dentures and dentists I found Dr. Leong. This review relates to my experience with Dr. Leong and his medical staff. Because I was self pay and the accident was not insured I never dealt with that aspect. Also, under the circumstances I did not do any price comparisons. At 7 on a Tuesday night I fell teeth first into the kitchen counter. The counter is fine in case you were worried. The teeth not so much. Both of my front teeth came out at the roots and the crowns on my incisors were shattered. I think I also had a concussion but that’s neither here nor there. My dentist was closed the following day and my daughter called her dentist who referred me to an endodentist who referred me to a periodontist (or maybe it was the other way aound) who referred me to Dr. Leong. I was in his chair by noon the following day. At 8 the next morning he installed my first bridge. I did and still do consider the entire narrative a stroke of remarkable luck. My treatment took 14 months with several bridge trade outs relating to the placement of the pins. At every turn Dr. Leong and his staff exhibited the utmost professionalism and concern for my comfort. A lot of it was unpleasant by nature but I was never in pain. I was never left in the chair in an uncomfortable position. i was always given warning if something was going to pinch. Most importantly I never left the office without teeth. I am very pleased with the outcome and can assure you that after this trauma no one else will ever touch my teeth!

I was referred to Dr. Leong who was highly recommended by my general dentist. I went in for my consultation and they spent a lot of time and effort to review my situation with me and gave me multiple different treatment options.
